The artist behind Obama’s iconic “Hope” poster has a different plan for Trump - Vox
After winning the presidential election by a narrow vote, John Fitzgerald Kennedy needed to win the hearts of the Americans in a time of tension and stress in the world. In his inaugural address, Kennedy explained how the American people share common heritage and, in one way or another, they all strive for similar purposes and ideals. Therefore, a unification of the American people would be beneficial to the country which, in turn, would support the world. The speech Kennedy made on his inauguration day was rich with provocative figurative language and filled with eloquent rhetorical devices that all served to the delivery of his purpose. He uses tropes and schemes to convey his purpose in a manner that effectively made Americans respect him. He used the strategy of tone to his advantage by creating a sense of patriotism for this great nation that Republicans and Democrats need to work together to improve. He used a claim and a reason in almost every paragraph.
Obama 'HOPE' poster artist Shepard Fairey gets probation
There are many different aspects of the poster that caught my attention, but I did not even realize some of the most intriguing parts of it. To begin, the online analysis of the poster mentions the colors of the poster. I believe that the colors are trying to show that race does not matter, and Obama would be just as good of a president if he was white, but it would be easier for many people to vote for him if he was.
The Barack Obama "Hope" poster is an image of Barack Obama designed by artist Shepard Fairey , which was widely described as iconic and came to represent his presidential campaign. The design was created in one day and printed first as a street poster. It was then more widely distributed—both as a digital image and other paraphernalia—during the election season , initially independent of, but with the approval from, the official Obama campaign. This led The Guardian 's Laura Barton to proclaim that the image "acquired the kind of instant recognition of Jim Fitzpatrick's Che Guevara poster , and is surely set to grace T-shirts, coffee mugs and the walls of student bedrooms in the years to come. In January , after Obama had won the election, Fairey's mixed-media stenciled portrait version of the image was acquired by the Smithsonian Institution for its National Portrait Gallery.
