September 11, was a tragic day for the United States. Tragedy struck when an airplane carrying 10, gallons of jet fuel hit the northern tower of the World Trade Center. Then if the day could get any worse at the south tower was hit also by a commercial airplane. On this day 2, people died at the World Trade Center.
Conspiracy theories have a massive influence on our society through literature, film and music. Such conjectures may be absurd to the commoner, but they serve an important psychological, and sociological, purpose in their practice. Conspiracies often target the powerful from the position of the powerless, reaching to explain what otherwise is unexplainable, or unsatisfactory when explained. These are an important aspect of democratic society, even if some speculations can reach into the extremes. The last book on cultural conspiracy to be examined exemplifies newer trend in the historical scholarship on conspiracy on American culture since sixteenth century up to nineteen century.
Martin Luther King Jr. assassination conspiracy theories
In the days following the bombings at the Boston Marathon, speculation online regarding the identity and motive of the unknown perpetrator or perpetrators was rampant. It took a new form. A sampling: Maybe the brothers Tsarnaev were just patsies, fall guys set up to take the heat for a mysterious Saudi with high-level connections; or maybe they were innocent, but instead of the Saudis, the actual bomber had acted on behalf of a rogue branch of our own government; or what if the Tsarnaevs were behind the attacks, but were secretly working for a larger organization? But recent scientific research tells us this much: if you think one of the theories above is plausible, you probably feel the same way about the others, even though they contradict one another.
With the government exempting themselves from telling their citizens the truth, America has every right not to trust them. As people of a country founded on truth and justice, the citizens should open their eyes and not be blinded by the pretentious feeling of safety that the officials are trying to portray. Conspiracy Theorists have made many different theories to prove events.
