The American Indian has been the subject of many different emotions throughout history. Emotions ranging from fear to spiritual enlightenment. This essay will discuss the history of the War on the American Indian and how it affected the tribes of North America Forever. Since the arrival of European peoples from Europe the Native American Indians who were settled in the area where seen as barbarians and savages. These settlers brought different ideologies, convictions, religion and diseases, to the Indigenous peoples. There were frequent clashes between the settlers and the Natives over land rights and usage, religious and cultural differences, and, especially, broken treaties Calloway 3.
Peter Weir's Witness In the film witness director Peter Weir explores the sharp cultural conflicts between the old Amish society of western Pennsylvania and the modern American world of crime and violence. The main character, Philadelphia police detective John Book played by Harrison Ford , is forced into hiding by a group of corrupt fellow officers looking for a little Amish boy played by Lukas Haas. The boy witnesses a brutal killing and identifies the policeman who did it from a photograph.
It is seen as the typical modern African novel in English. Achebe was born in Achebe mostly writes his novels in English as Igbo language was hard to understand as this language originated from various types of dialects.
